The pliers are used to pull General Electric Exhaust Manifold clamps together to allow hand tightening of the exhaust clamp nut. The gripping tines are aggressively knurling to keep a firm grip on the clamp during closure. The tines may be installed on either side of the pliers to accommodate left or right hand applications.
