The Empty Car Truck Spring Replacement Fixture provides
a safe, effective method of replacing broken truck springs
on empty cars in the train yard, eliminating switching moves and out-of service time.
This tool is normally transported in back of a pick-up truck
along with the extra springs, we recommend using a
12 Volt DC hydraulic pump (10,000 PSI) Instructional video
is available. ( Does Not include Pump)
When ordering the Empty Car Spring Change Fixture one needs to specify Tall Base or Short Base. The Tall Base is used for exposed rail and the short base is for tracks that are flush with the pavement.

Designed to remove and replace freight car truck center pins.
To remove pin, place the center pin tool sleeve over the pin
and apply pressure to the pin by turning the handle clockwise.
To release, turn the handle counter-clockwise.

The Roller Bearing Adapter Retaining Straps keeps hands and fingers out of harms way when replacing freight car wheelsets. The strap retainers have been specifically designed to fit all sizes of adaptors. The retainers do not require positioning, and will not slip or slide in the webbing, unlike straps utilizing conventional triangular or “D” rings. A quick pull on the webbing tightens the strap, safely securing the adapter in the side frame. The strap is easily removed by pushing the webbing release button. Two straps are required for wheelset replacement.
